According to media reports, Mani Ratnam wants to keep the ticket price of Rs 100 for ‘Ponniyin Selvan 1’ to reach more viewers. ‘PS1’ is a historical drama film directed by Mani Ratnam. The film is based on a Tamil novel, whose story revolves around the Chola Empire. This novel has been written by Kalki Krishnamurthy. It is one of the most expensive films of Indian cinema, made at a cost of around Rs 500 crore. The film stars well-known actors from Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to Chiyan Vikram, Trisha Krishnan, Karthi, Aishwarya Lakshmi, Jayam Ravi.
