Phone gallery:
By default, all WhatsApp images and videos are saved in the phone gallery on both Android and iPhone. Therefore, even if the media files are deleted from WhatsApp, you will find them in the phone’s gallery.
File Explorer:
This feature is only available for Android users. Android users can recover deleted photos and videos from media files by visiting the WhatsApp folder in File Explorer.
WhatsApp Backup:
You can back up WhatsApp chats and media to Google Drive or iCloud on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. If chats and media files are deleted, delete your WhatsApp and download it again. While logging in to WhatsApp again, you will get a restore option, by clicking on it you can restore photos and videos.
The delete media option is off:
Sometimes when we delete a chat some important media files are also deleted by mistake. To avoid this, while deleting the chat, you should not tick the delete media option, because of which only the chat and deleted media files will be saved in your gallery.
Third-party apps:
Nowadays people send messages and then delete them. Now you can restore them too. By downloading an app called WAMR from the Play Store, you can recover not only deleted photos and videos but also chats.
