It is said that the great hero of the century is a great devotee of Hanuman ji. In fact, Big B has deep faith in the Lete Hanuman temple located on the Sangam bank of Prayagraj. Every year his representative comes to Prayagraj from Mumbai and offers prayers in this temple. This is how Big B makes his presence felt in this Hanuman temple. He used to visit this temple every Saturday and Tuesday with his father Dr. Harivansh Rai Bachchan. Along with his younger brother Ajitabh was also there.
There is an anecdote behind Big B’s deep faith in the Lete Hanuman temple of Prayagraj that in the year 1982, when Amitabh was injured and his health deteriorated during the shooting of the film Coolie, Big B’s father Dr. Harivansh Rai Bachchan told him. Worship was done in this temple. While performing the havan on the day of the completion of the yagya, it was learned that Amitabh has now recovered. Since this incident, Amitabh Bachchan’s faith in this temple and Bajrangbali has increased more and every year he has been making his presence here. Amitabh’s brother Ajitabh has also installed a 51 kg brass bell in the temple.
