Bandhan launches new session for NextGen Banker’s PG Diploma Course

Kolkata, July 29, 2021: Bandhan-Konnagar today launched the NextGen Banker’s PG Diploma Course in Banking and Finance. This course is in affiliation with MAKAUT. The session was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dr. Amit Mitra, Hon’ble Minister of Finance, Statistics, Planning and Programme Monitoring, Govt. of West Bengal .

Bandhan has a residential learning centre in Rajpur near Sonarpur, and it has the capacity of 210 residential students. A new learning centre, with a capacity of 240 residential students, is on cards in Shantiniketan and this facility will be launched by January 2022.

Dr. Mitra praised Bandhan for its innovative course curriculum with varied topics ranging from digital banking to risk management to social sciences. He applauded the placement guarantee that the students of the course get. He said, “The Students Credit Card Scheme of the Government of West Bengal can pave the way for success of the programme by providing the required finance to the needy students.” He also said, “Such courses and programmes should be undertaken by more private players.” Dr. Mitra appreciated the efforts taken by the Bandhan group in promoting one of the state’s priorities, generation of employment opportunities.

Mr. Chandra Shekhar Ghosh, Founder, Bandhan said, “We were honoured to have Dr. Mitra as our chief guest today. For the students who are starting their course, there could not have been a more inspirational personality to address them. The course has been devised keeping in mind the needs of banking in all of India and will have a special focus on rural areas. I wish the students the very best.”

Saikat Maitra, Vice Chancellor-Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal also graced the occasion.
