Dulquer Salmaan and Sunny Deol’s film “Chup: Revenge of the Artist” is not only getting positive reviews from the critics. Rather, a positive process is being received from the audience as well. According to the preliminary figures coming out, this film, directed by R Balki, has done a business of Rs 2.60 to 3.20 crores on the opening day. However, if the ticket prices had not been cut on Friday, the film would have struggled to even cross the one crore mark. Now that the film has struck a chord with the audience, it can set an example for the cinema industry. The film has been made in a budget of Rs 10 crore.
Even before its release, Chup had overtaken Ajay Devgan, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh. As of Wednesday evening, the film had sold 63,000 tickets across India and, on the day of its release, the film sold nearly 4 lakh tickets, which were similar to those for Ajay Devgn’s Runway 34, Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey and Ranveer Singh’s Jayeshbhai Jordaar. was more than the number.
Chup is a psychological thriller film directed by R Balki. Apart from Sunny Deol and Dulquer Salmaan, Pooja Bhatt, Shreya Dhanwantri are in important roles in this film. Also Amitabh Bachchan has a cameo in the film. Through this, director R Balki has given a tribute to cinema’s classic filmmaker Guru Dutt. Chup, directed by Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, Jayantilal Gada, Anil Naidu and Gauri Shinde, is all set to release on OTT after eight weeks. This means that after two months of release i.e. 23 November 2022, this film will come on OTT.
