Failed at the box office but Aamir’s film on OTT flagged off, Lal Singh Chaddha in top 10 in 13 countries

Aamir Khan made a comeback in theaters after four years with the film ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’. The actor also promoted the film fiercely, but due to the boycott, the film could not show amazing in theatres. However, Aamir’s ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ rocked the world of OTT. The film was streamed on Netflix at midnight on 6 October, after which ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ is getting a lot of love on OTT. The funny thing is that this film is doing great not only in India but also in non Hindi language.

It has been just eight days since ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ was streamed on OTT, but within these few days, this film has got an amazing response. ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ has become the No. 1 film on Netflix and No. 2 non-English film in India in a week. The film has been watched for 6.63 million hours and is among the top 10 in films in 13 countries around the world, including Mauritius, Bangladesh, Singapore, Oman, Sri Lanka, Bahrain, Malaysia and the UAE.

Four Indian films are included in this week’s list of global non-English films. The name of ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ is also included in this list. At the same time, apart from Aamir’s film, it has ‘Plan A Plan B’, ‘Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga’ and ‘Sakini Dakini’ which are winning hearts of audiences across the world. Let us tell you that ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ was directed by Advait Chandan and the film was made in Aamir Khan’s production house. Along with Aamir, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh, Naga Chaitanya Akkineni and Manav Vij appeared in lead roles in this film.

Magic did not work at the box office

Aamir Khan’s film ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ was released in theaters on August 11, which was produced at a cost of about 180 crores. But due to an old statement of Aamir Khan, the film got embroiled in controversies. The film was heavily boycotted on social media. The situation was that people were also seen protesting against this film and Aamir Khan on the streets, which had an effect on the collection of the film. The domestic collection of this film could not even reach 100 crores. The film had earned around 70 crores.
