Bengali daily E Samay had published a short article, which stated that BR Chopra had changed the name of the film because of his Muslim friend. Actually, BR Chopra’s friend had said that “Chopra sir, I will not be able to go home and ask my wife to watch the film. Because when she will ask which film we are going to watch and if I tell her the name of the film Diya (which was talaq talaq talaq), then he will have a heart attack.” In view of this issue, BR Chopra changed the title after much deliberation.
