Playmaker Sakhawat Manik is no more

Sakhawat Manik (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun) is a young dramatist and cultural worker who has crossed over to the land of no return. He was suffering from Hepatitis-B for a long time.

Sakhawat Manik died at his home in Pabna on Saturday (September 24) around 8 pm.

Kamruzzaman Sagar, General Secretary of the Director’s Guild, an organization of theater producers, confirmed this information to the media.

Sakhawat Manik’s death has cast a shadow of mourning in the cultural arena. Stars have been posting condolence statuses on Facebook seeking the peace of his departed soul.

A remarkable serial drama ‘Meghe Dhaka City’ directed by Sakhawat Manik. Single dramas include – Aaj Shafiq’s marriage, Naik Samhom, Priejan, Black Coffee, Ken Mixhe Nakshatrara, Thirsna, Afternoon, Hide Story, Address Was Wrong, Home Maid and more dramas.
