In last year’s Lok Sabha elections, Gerua Shibir had a strong base in North Bengal. The BJP held most of the seats there. The Trinamool did not do very well in the Lok Sabha elections in North Bengal. So the Trinamool Supremo no longer wants to make the same mistakes as before. So he decided to go to North Bengal and hold a public meeting. All political parties understand that North Bengal is very important in the conquest of Bengal. That is why BJP all-India president JP Nadda visited North Bengal two days ago. The public meeting that Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is holding after her visit to North Bengal is very significant from a political point of view.
